Our history
40 years of professionalism and growth<\/span><\/span><\/h2>[vc_column_text css=””]OMD<\/strong> was founded in 1969 in Modena, Italy, within an industrial and artisan context strongly specialized in the mechanical sector. The enterprise was initially started as an individual company, operative in lathing <\/strong>machine parts on behalf of third parties. Production increased soon afterwards and the company started investing in new personnel and new machineries, in order to also directly provide to its customers milling<\/strong> and boring<\/strong> services, along with the other main accessory manufacturings. 40 years of gear know-how<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text css=”” el_class=”text-white”]1984 represents a turning point as the company acquires its first CNC sliding headstock<\/strong> automatic lathe<\/strong> along with new hobbing machines for small gears<\/strong>, taking a substantial qualitative leap in its production capacity. A quality team<\/span><\/h3>[vc_column_text css=””]On the corporate structure front, faced with continued growth in orders and production capacity, the company in 1999 became a corporation<\/strong>, taking the name OMD srl.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In the years that followed, the continued growth in the quality of workmanship and production processes became increasingly important, so much so that starting in 2007 FAKT<\/strong> awarded OMD<\/strong> DIN EN ISO 9001<\/strong> certification.<\/p>\n

Today OMD<\/strong> has twenty-two employees and can avail of a machine park that includes, among others, fifteen CNC sliding head lathes, two CNC lathes, seven CNC gear hobbing machines, four of which are robotic, and various other complementary machines. As a guarantee and testimony of the high and constant standards of our production processes, since 2007 OMD<\/strong> has obtained the ISO 9001 certification<\/strong> , recognized by FAKT, an independent certification body, specialized in management systems and auditing.[\/vc_column_text]
